About the work
The instrumentation is flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, two percussionists and harp — a combination I particularly like.
The three instrumental movements can be expanded with an optional Zwischenspiel for actor and accompaniment, setting Shakespeare’s Sonnet XXX.
